Undertale Multiverse Simulator Starter Characters

Starter kits are the cheapest AU roster in Undertale Multiverse Simulator 1.5. You reach them through the white portal in the lobby, not through the stronger-zone rooms. Pacifist Sans costs 0 souls. The rest of the main line used to climb to Storyshift at 150,000 on the original wiki; 1.5 may have retuned those numbers. This page lists 1.5-era names from a SANES 2 showcase, then reprints the original-wiki price table as a planning archive. It is a shopping list, not a lore index. If you want ranks, use the starter tier list. If you are ready to leave this room, the stronger-zone roster starts at 200,000 souls.

How the white portal works

Community reports (including the original wiki) place a white portal on the left side of the lobby. The stand text reads Starter Characters Room. Walk through it. You load into a shop with character stands. Interact with a stand while you have enough souls; the kit unlocks on that account.

A few practical rules that still hold in 1.5:

1. Confirm you are on place 112050560592995 by SlayerRealNotFake. The original place 7915723993 was hacked. Souls do not transfer.
2. The portal only sells the cheap line. Photonegative, Dusttrust, Ink, Error, Pesti, and Obsessed Monster are not in this room.
3. Buying a kit does not auto-equip a phase. Phases and evolutions are extra pads and extra soul prices — see how to phase and character evolutions.
4. R still lowers HP on PC. Z still opens the emote wheel. Read the controls sheet before you test a kit in a 15-player server.
5. If a pad dumps you into the wrong AU room, leave and re-enter. That leftover layout bug is covered on the evolutions page; it is not a secret unlock.

New accounts should still follow getting started and the soul grinding route before they spend past Last Breath.

1.5-era starter names (SANES 2, 29 Jul 2026)

SANES 2’s all-starter showcase (chapter list on the 29 Jul 2026 upload) walks a 1.5-era roster. The names below come from that showcase. This wiki does not invent missing soul costs for pads that video did not price. Confirm each stand in-game. Dedicated kit notes: Pacifist Sans for the free floor and its named evos; Scarlet Tenacity is an August 2026 three-phase line, not a row in this list.

These numbers are from the original-game community wiki. 1.5 reworked attacks and may have retuned prices. Treat the table as a planning archive, then believe the in-game stand if the two disagree. Check the soul unlock tool before you commit a large stack.

The original-wiki table is shorter than the SANES 2 1.5-era list on purpose. Extra names in that showcase (Papyrus ladders, Pacifist evos, Fresh P2, Hardmode Insanity, Dusttale) are evolutions or alt stands, not extra rows with invented prices. Track them on character evolutions.

Which cheap kits can actually farm

A starter is only useful if it prints souls in a 15-player server. Pacifist Sans is the awkward star of 1.5: it is free, it contests mid-range kits, and comment sections keep asking for a nerf. Use it until a paid kit clearly out-farms it. Do not replace it with Science or Outertale because the model looks rarer.

A sane first-hour path:

• Stay on Pacifist until you understand movement. R for low HP, Z for emotes, then fight.
• Spend 300 on Underswap only if Pacifist feels awkward on your device.
• Last Breath at 9,000 and Ruins Dust at 11,000 are the first white-portal kits that justify a dump.
• Ignore Fresh, Horror, Killer, Geno, Insanity, and Storyshift until you have a farm loop. Those names are collection, not a route.
• At ~200,000, leave this room. Photonegative Sans in the stronger zone is a real spike; Storyshift at 150,000 is not.

The starter tier list labels that path as S/A/B/C. This page only cares that you can reach the stronger rooms without buying every AU you recognize.

What this room is not

It is not the event shop. Pesti Sans (2,000,000 plus the Beat Pesti badge) and Obsessed Monster (2,900,000) live on event characters. It is not the NULL zone. A 10,666,666 NULL stand was an original-game wiki listing; this wiki does not claim it exists in 1.5.

It is also not a codes vendor. If a promo ever drops souls, redeem it from the codes hub and how to redeem. We do not invent codes.

After you leave the white portal

Keep one cheap kit equipped as a fallback when a stronger-room pad bugs. Then grind toward Photonegative, Epic Sans, and Toxin — the first mid-game spikes on the stronger-zone tier list. Event kits wait until you can both afford the price and finish the Pesti Sans fight.

Patch notes for the 22 May 2026 remaster sit on version 1.5. Discord pointers sit on the Discord links page. When an August 2026 stand (Scarlet Tenacity, Swapfell Papyrus Phase 2) appears next to a starter pad, treat it as an evolution with an unknown or unlisted cost, not as a new row in the original-wiki table.

Buy from this room to print souls, not to complete a checklist. Pacifist plus Last Breath or Ruins Dust is enough to reach the 200,000 door. Everything else in the white portal is optional paint until the soul grinding route says you can spare the stack.
