Undertale Multiverse Simulator 1.5 Controls

Undertale Multiverse Simulator 1.5 uses normal Roblox movement plus three binds the developer printed on the place page because people miss them. If combat feels unfair in the first ten minutes, you are probably missing R, not missing a hidden “phase key.”

This page is the bind sheet. Pair it with the controls cheatsheet if you want a short version on a second monitor, and with the first-hour 1.5 join order if you have not opened the white portal yet.

R is the bind new players argue about. The place description says “Press R on PC to low health yourself.” That is not self-damage as a grief tool. Orange and blue bone rules in this battleground care about movement and HP band. Lowering HP on purpose lets those rules resolve the way the kit author intended. If you stay at full HP, blue bones that want you still — or orange bones that want you moving — will clip you as a failed soul-color test.

Z is the emote wheel. It does not evolve a kit, it does not phase, and it does not open the stronger zone. Use it in the lobby. Close it before a fight so you do not emote into a blaster.

Mobile is a first-class client for 1.5, not a spectator mode. The low-HP button is easy to miss because it looks like a UI extra, not a combat bind. Put a thumb on it once in the lobby so you can find it when a blue bone wall is already on screen. Attack buttons are kit-specific; after you buy a pad in the Starter Characters Room, stand still and tap each one so you know which is teleport, which is blaster, and which is heal.

If the on-screen cluster covers your camera, lower Roblox UI scale in settings. You cannot dodge small blasters if the jump button owns the right half of the screen.

The place page calls out shiftlock for gamepads: X button because default Roblox gamepad shiftlock is easy to miss while you are looking for a “lock on” key that does not exist. Shiftlock is how you keep a Gaster Blaster on a moving target on a 15-player server. Toggle it in the lobby, strafe with the left stick, and confirm the camera yaws with you before you walk into PvP.

If X does something else on your controller overlay, open Roblox gamepad mapping and check that another experience did not steal the bind.

Why R exists (orange and blue bones)

Undertale’s soul colors are the reference:

• Blue bones / blue soul: you are punished for moving when the attack wants you still.
• Orange bones / orange soul: you are punished for standing still when the attack wants you moving.

1.5 kits reuse those rules in a Roblox battleground. Some patterns also care that you are not sitting at full HP — KR-style chips, low-HP gates, or “you must already be hurt” checks. R (PC) or the mobile low-HP button is the official way to put yourself in that band. It is not a suicide bind, and it is not how you phase a character.

Phasing is buying the next soul-cost row in a character room. That is a shop action, explained in how phases actually cost souls. If chat says “press R to phase,” they mixed the two systems. R changes HP. Souls change which pad you own.

Practice the bind in the lobby: tap R, watch HP drop, take a blue bone pattern from a friendly kit, stay still, then tap R again before an orange pattern and move. Two minutes of that drill saves more souls than a random starter purchase.

Emote wheel

Z on PC opens the emote wheel. Use it to flex a kit, sit in the lobby, or answer a friend. Do not bind muscle memory so that Z is next to your attack finger. The wheel will eat a fight. There is no combat bonus attached to emotes. Evolutions and event kits are rooms and badges, not dance unlocks — see evolution rooms and ACT 3 and the Pesti Sans event fight.

Shiftlock and aiming

Most AU kits want a locked camera so bones and blasters travel where you look. On PC that is Roblox shiftlock. On gamepad it is X. On mobile you steer with drag; a high sensitivity makes small-blaster dodges possible, a low sensitivity makes them lottery.

Teleport kits still need shiftlock. Teleporting off Pesti’s small blasters (the community clear) is a camera problem as much as a kit problem. If your camera is unlocking every dash, you will TP into the beam.

Common mix-ups

• R is not the phase key. Phases cost souls. See how phases actually cost souls.
• Z is not an evolution. Evolutions have dedicated rooms, and those rooms have swapped in bugs — evolution rooms and ACT 3.
• You do not need a script to bind R. If a “controls script” asks you to paste a loadstring, stop. Scripts are a separate high-risk topic.
• Souls still do not transfer from the hacked original. Binds are the same idea; the currency is not. Hacked original file.

Learn the three printed binds, then go farm. The soul grind pace and 200k breakpoint is the next page once R and Z are in muscle memory. A kit you cannot steer is a pad you wasted.
